Mid-Autumn

Not surprisingly, Nature’s paintbrush transformed the New England landscape during October.

At this mid-point between Autumn and Winter, we are reminded of the activity which once served as winter preparations — readiness for the coming colder temperatures and snowfall.

What was once expected in winter, however, is now changing.

Some have predicted that portions of New England will be warm and rainy.  Whether that is accurate will become known, experientially, as winter progresses.

In the meantime, common sense suggests that we acclimate with flexibility and prepare for either cold or mild temperatures.

Perhaps, most of all, it is important to remember that changeability is in the air — quite literally.  And it is global.

Among the scientific community, there is not a cohesive opinion about the changing weather phenomena and their effects.

Throughout the entire circle of the seasons in Nature’s year, it is common sense to pay attention to our relationship with Earth — and discern right action in all circumstances Mother Nature provides.
