Earth Speaks Eloquently

Amid humanity’s concerns about well-being at this time, Earth speaks eloquently in readily observable environmental changes.  As Earth speaks, it is up to us to adapt to Earth’s messages for we humans are dependent on mother nature’s world.

Expressed in simple terms, some of these ongoing changes include:

• Volcanic activity is increasingly affecting all areas worldwide.  In addition to the obvious local effects of volcanoes, the particulates are carried around the Earth by wind currents.  The particles are electrically charged and thus attract water molecules which may freeze, producing snow or hailstones.  Increasing volcanic activity also means exclusion of sunlight through cloud formation.

• Globally, agricultural regions are changing.  Twelve million square miles of what once was desert in Africa are now greening.  There are lakes and rivers forming in the deserts of Saudi Arabia.  In other regions, excessive precipitation and low temperatures are interfering with agricultural processes.

• Stability of temperature in various regions is affected by changing weather patterns.

• The change in weather patterns also contributes to huge pestilence issues which ultimately affect food supply.  For example:  Millions of tons of feedstock have currently been lost in Australia due to massive rodent infestations.  The snowball effect from this situation is potentially far-reaching.

• As swarms of locusts continue to grow and spread globally, it has become apparent that the impact on greenery in general — as well as food supply — will exceed the widespread impact of 2020.

• Electrical storms continue to increase in frequency, duration and strength.  More lightning contributes to the proliferation of forest fires.

• Forest fires are removing trees faster than ambitious planting projects can replace them.  Available leaf surface of young trees comes nowhere near that of mature trees.

Earth’s consistent message:  Ongoing Changes.

• Within these changes, Earth’s well-being and our well-being continue to be linked.

• In areas which are thus far relatively unaffected environmentally, the most stark reminders of ongoing changes may be higher prices — for food, power, building materials (especially lumber).

• Implicitly, Earth also speaks eloquently of the need for our adaptation and resilience in bringing forth solutions to new challenges.

New Solutions:  Innovatively harmonizing with change, we can walk in greater balance and well-being on the planet which is our home.

Summer 2021

In the northern hemisphere, Summer begins five days from now.  With the new season, and the posting of this blog (#50), the initial purpose of the twice monthly Green Oasis Now blogs is now complete.

Beginning on June 1st of 2019 we have gradually — through the blogs — provided additional material to supplement and expand that which is available on the pages of this website.

The blog content is not outdated. Rather, the blogs continue to be relevant in expressing a solutions-oriented point of view and the context within which Green Oasis Now places attention on innovation.

Our intention, consistently, is to contribute to harmony and balance in an imbalanced world.

In the addressing of environmental issues there is much pretense, ignorance and misinformation.

Whether concerned about the environment — or one’s own personal well-being — there is only one way to walk comfortably and safely into the future and that is common sense:  paying attention, with discernment.

As the Summer season begins, the price of fuel is steadily rising in the US.  Far-reaching consequences can be expected.

Fortunately, there is increasing recognition that the nature of life on Earth includes interconnectedness.  Accordingly, insightful and talented individuals worldwide are increasingly taking responsibility in contributing to much-needed positive change and innovation.  This is a global phenomenon.

The blogs will return when there is new Green Oasis Now related information to share.

Autumn 2021

The beginning of Autumn, this year, has occurred two days after the Harvest Full Moon.

Traditionally — in New England where we are located — the harvesting of crops that would provide sustenance throughout the upcoming colder seasons was an activity of major importance.

Although harvest season is still important locally, we are now looking at a vast interconnected global market wherein (for example) grapefruit from South Africa and avocados from Peru are regularly the supply in our local markets — instead of arriving from relatively nearby Florida.

Transportation, which is a primary factor in the movement of food — whether regionally or globally — is increasingly becoming congested, problematic and unreliable.

Just as food from afar was not a concern years ago, so too environmental issues, beyond local, were not a large consideration because the basics for both survival and comfort were provided within small regions.

Now, however, we are seeing the wide-ranging impact of natural phenomena.  During this year’s summer season, the impact of natural phenomena and weather anomalies escalated considerably over 2020 and this increase continues.

Forest fires in the western US exceeded the previous year’s record-breaking acreage before the forest fire season officially began.  Affecting millions of acres, the fires are ongoing and, ironically, are no longer newsworthy.  There are even larger fires in Siberia and Brazil.  Aside from loss of wildlife, and millions of mature trees, the forest fires are affecting the air quality globally — including the amount of oxygen available for breathing.

Volcanic activity also continues to add particulates to the air, as well as sulphur dioxide and other pollutants.  The increasing particulates in the air are affecting the amounts of rainfall and hail in numerous places for which this kind of weather is unusual.  Flooding and hail damage is widespread.

While flooding is severe in some areas, drought is severe in others.  In California, for example, one hundred thousand acres of rice was not planted this year because of drought.  Elsewhere in California, thousands of almond trees have died because there was not enough water to support them.  These are two among many examples of the effects of widepread drought globally.

What is often forgotten is that all human activity on Earth is supported by Nature’s world, over which humans ultimately have little control.  With extremes increasing, the best that can be done is adaptation to new circumstances.

When a harvest of common sense parallels the increasing extremes, intelligent simplicity may significantly contribute surprisingly effective solutions.

Simplification

As the warming temperatures bring forth Spring blossoming here in New England, we are aware that weather anomalies are ongoing globally with unpredictable and unprecedented results.

Green Oasis Now continues to observe various indicators of ongoing change.

Astrophysics reminds us that the current solar cycle is ramping up, together with its potential for affecting the grid.  Electrical engineers point out the fragility of the various grids globally.

Currently the number of earthquakes over 2.0 varies between 400 and 700 each day.  There are now 24 active volcanoes.

We know it is essential to pay attention to Mother Nature's signals and take action in harmony with her.

The Industrial Report indicates huge increases (thousands of percent) in demands for certain products and services which indicate a major shift in priorities.  For example: Lumber has escalated gigantically in price with a major increase in demand.

The man-made infrastructure — that which supports human activity on this planet — is increasingly proving to be tenuous.

Given the swirlings about of the winds of change, the Green Oasis Now priorities have been redefined to emphasize that which we feel is most central for stability and well-being.

Simplification, in harmony with Mother Nature, is our back-to-basics point of view which has come to the forefront.  This includes:

The demonstration of innovative broadly-scoped, weather impervious year-round indoor gardening and agriculture — powered by sustainable renewable energy and not dependent on the grid.

We have placed into the Archives menu on this website our more diverse plans, for we see that at this time it is advantageous to focus closer to home.  Simplification!

The Essential Nature of Green Light

As Summer arrives in the northern hemisphere, we are surrounded by green in the outer world landscape.  Beyond this visually apparent vitality there is far more going on than meets the eye.

Studies by NASA scientists indicate that green light, which is the center of the color spectrum, affects the chlorophyll in plants and the hemoglobin in humans in the same way.  Without the green light, molecules — life as we know it — would cease to exist.  There could be no DNA unless there is light interaction with chlorophyll in plants and the hemoglobin in humans.

A molecular code is conveyed to all living things through green light entering the Earth and interacting with chlorophyll or hemoglobin.  This sets up a complex activity which results in DNA decoding that which comes from the green light.

Through this activity all living things receive — from the green light — what they specifically need, whether through interaction with chlorophyll or hemoglobin.

The outer world landscape — and we humans as well — are completely dependent upon the power of the green light.

Algae is the simplest form of condensed light in plant form.  A European institute is studying 300,000 kinds of algae, some of which are blue-green and some of which are edible.  Other studies, over many years, have shown specific forms of blue-green microalgae to be superfoods — plentiful in nutrients and readily absorbed.  Outstanding among these is AFA.

With NASA’s studies emphasizing the essential nature of green light, we have a further key to understanding how our DNA and well-being can be enhanced.
